Cancer of the Breast

Breast cancer is the most common of cancers affecting women today. An early diagnosis, regardless of age, usually makes breast cancer more treatable.Older women are unaware of some of the early warning signs of breast cancer. Every year about one of three women diagnosed with breast cancer each year are aged 70 or over.

The breast cancer isn't just about lumps, and that older women are most at risk.Women whose female relatives have had breast cancer are more likely to be victims than women from families in which breast cancer is not present. Usually the disease appears to women who do not have children before their 30s or do not have any children. It appears also to a mothers who do not nurse their babies; also to women who reach the menopause later than normal, and to women who began menstration earlier in life than normal.
